Center your sights on a cloud in the sky
Spin fast little feet, around and around and around.
And when we fall down dizzy in the grass, I'll hold your hand.
We can name the shapes as they float by
Accumulations of cumulus sailing high.
Lay with me until the night sky blankets us.
Let the moon be our nite-lite.
The fireflies can be the spotlight for our puppet show.
As the night turns cold, I'll walk you home.
We'll play hopscotch on the sidewalk squares,
Oh, but look out for the cracks!
When we find ourselves at you front gate,
It will be a race to your front door.
No one wants to have to say goodbye,
But tonight I'll ease the sting when I kiss you on the cheek.
Goodnight.
